Pharmaceutical Needs Assessments (PNAs) – Progress across GM
The Pharmaceutical Needs Assessment (PNA) is a crucial part of the market entry system, and supports commissioning decisions based on patient needs, it is important that Health and Wellbeing Boards (HWBs) prepare PNAs to national comparable standards.
As you may be aware many of the PNA’s in Greater Manchester are in the process of being updated. As part of this process contractors are being asked to complete surveys and provide feedback on draft PNA documents after these are published.
All contractors and Pharmacy teams are encouraged to complete these surveys and have their say as this will inform the future of locally commissioned services and identify gaps in provision of Pharmaceutical services.
