Become a Safe Space

UK SAYS NO MORE is working with pharmacies and banks across the UK to provide Safe Spaces in their consultation rooms for people experiencing domestic abuse.

What are Safe Spaces?

The Safe Spaces scheme aims to increase the availability of specialist support for victims of domestic abuse. Anyone affected by domestic abuse can use the Safe Space to phone a helpline, contact a support service or talk to a friend or family member. There are currently 5,000+ high street locations across the UK providing Safe Spaces.

Become a Safe Space
As an ever-present fixture on nearly every high street, pharmacies and their consultation rooms, with privacy, a telephone and quiet place to sit down, are an ideal location for Safe Spaces.
You can take part in this scheme FREE of charge. Specialist training and promotional resources are available to any pharmacy teams wishing to be involved.
Further information about the scheme can be found via the links below:
  • Safe Spaces Toolkit – The toolkit provides details about eligibility criteria, training requirements and general information for delivery.

What is a Online Safe Space?

This is a free widget you can add on to your website, enabling those experiencing domestic abuse to discreetly access support by clicking on the Safe Spaces logo on your homepage footer.

To date, over 80 businesses have adopted Online Safe Spaces, including Thames Water, British Gas, Post Office, and TSB Bank. When clicked it opens as a pop-up window, leaves no internet history trace and doesn’t collect any data that could identify users.
