The service has been commissioned as a one-off Advanced service for administering a MenB vaccine to protect all Year 13 pupils and those under 25 years of age starting university or living in further education accommodation or halls of residence for the first time in autumn 2026.

Registering for the service

Contractors wishing to sign-up to provide the service were required to notify NHS England  by completion of an electronic registration declaration by 11.59pm on 20th July 2026. Pharmacies can no longer register for this service.

NHS England guidance

NHS England is publishing guidance on the service on their Futures platform:

Their Vaccine Supply and Ordering Guidance for Providers document explains how vaccine will be allocated, ordered and delivered to pharmacies. It covers:

  • How your vaccine allocation is calculated and increased;
  • How to set up NBS appointments and complete the FDP site acknowledgement page;
  • How to place orders and meet delivery deadlines; and
  • Your responsibilities for managing stock and minimising waste.

All pharmacy owners providing the service should read this guidance. Please download the latest version of the guidance and check for updates, which NHS England will continue to make, as necessary.

UKHSA and NHS England have published this letter containing details for commissioners and pharmacy owners on the one off time-limited MenB vaccination programme.

The UKHSA also published guidance (on 29th June 2026) on the vaccination programme and an associated PowerPoint slide set, which can be used to train staff that will be administering the vaccine.
