CPGM Executive Chair Statement: Congratulations to all new and returning MPs

Congratulations to all new and returning MPs on your election to Parliament.

With a mix of new and familiar faces making up Greater Manchester’s representation in the House of Commons, we are looking forward to continuing and expanding the work we’ve done together to champion Community Pharmacy for the benefit of patients and the public. In particular we’re keen to meet with our newly elected Members of Parliament and hearing their ideas around how to support our sector.

The appointment of local MPs; Andrew Gwynne, Jonathan Reynolds, and Angela Rayner to key cabinet positions will create more opportunities for the voices of Pharmacy contractors and their teams to be heard at the very heart of this new Government.

As we approach this pivotal moment within our sector, their support will help ensure the future sustainability of our Pharmacy network, protect the health of the people of Greater Manchester and help us as we play an ever-increasing role within the NHS.
