Pharmacy First: Otitis Media & Otoscope Training

To support our pharmacy teams to deliver the Pharmacy First service we organised this training session – sponsored by Otigo and delivered by Allied Health Training.

This meeting was supported by Renascience through the purchase of exhibition stand space. Renascience was not involved in the development of the agenda, the speaker or the content of the meeting.

This event covered the following:
  • Use of the otoscope – practical hands-on session
  • Clinical presentation of otitis media
  • Reminder of the Pharmacy First pathways and the importance of good record keeping
  • Details about Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) and the role of community pharmacy teams

We would welcome hearing how you have applied the learning in practice, including any examples, reflections or service improvements following the training. Please feel free to share your experiences with us at enquiries@cpgm.org.uk.
