GMLPC Annual General Meeting (AGM) – 06/09/2023
187 contractors voted on the GMLPC financial accounts for year ending March 2023, with 100% accepting and approving the accounts.
19 contractors voted on Bolton LPC’s financial accounts for year ending March 2023, with 100% accepting and approving the accounts.

GMLPC Special General Meeting (SGM) – 06/03/2023
233 contractors voted to accept the proposed changes to our GMLPC constitution with 100% accepting and approving the changes.
As a result we are proud to now be able to welcome and represent Bolton contractors alongside our existing contractors across Greater Manchester. The inclusion of Bolton contractors within our GMLPC footprint also enables us to better align our work with the locality structure set out within the Integrated Care System (ICS).
Looking ahead, in order to provide the best possible representation, value and support we will look to combine assets from both GMLPC and Bolton LPC in order to create a stronger organisation overall, for the benefit of all of our contractors.
Following this contractor vote our LPC constitution has now been amended accordingly.

225 contractors voted on the GMLPC accounts for year ending March 2021, with 100% accepting and approving the accounts.

GMLPC Special General Meeting (SGM) – 11/10/2021
We are pleased to announce that Greater Manchester LPC will now be known as Community Pharmacy Greater Manchester. This follows the Special General Meeting we held on Monday 11th October, with 89.96% contractors voting in favour of changing the LPC’s name and amending the LPC constitution.
GMLPC 2020/21 Accounts Approved – 19/09/2021
225 contractors voted on the GMLPC accounts for year ending March 2021, with 99.6% accepting and approving the accounts.

GMLPC – Vacant Independent contractor seat filled by Ali Dalal (Formans Chemist, Prestwich) – 09/07/2021
In accordance with the LPC constitution, Greater Manchester LPC recently invited applicants to apply for a vacant Independent contractor seat on the LPC.
The GMLPC committee has reviewed the information provided by all the candidates and selected the most suitable person based on the quality of their application, as outlined in Section 15 of the GMLPC constitution.
We can now confirm the successful candidate representing independent contractors on the GMLPC is: Ali Dalal (Formans Chemist, Prestwich).

GMLPC Election 2021 Results 01/04/2021
In accordance with the LPC constitution, Greater Manchester LPC organised an election to establish a new Committee From 1st April 2021. Independent contractors, together with AIMp and CCA Head Offices, were invited for nominations and appointments as per the LPC constitution.
To ensure fair representation for all GM contractors the current GMLPC Committee voted to increase the total number of member seats from 11 to 12 on 25th January 2021. As a result of these changes GMLPC revised the number of places available for each pharmacy representative group for the committee elections 2021.
Committee Breakdown:
- AIM is entitled to 2 place on the Committee, based on the 15.26% of AIM pharmacies in the area covered by GMLPC.
- CCA are entitled to 5 places on the Committee, based on the 42.78% of CCA pharmacies in the GMLPC area.
- Independents are entitled to 5 places on the Committee, based on the 41.96% of independent pharmacies in the GMLPC area.
After collecting all CCA and AIMp appointments and putting independent nominees to an independent contractor vote, we are pleased to announce the results.
The successful independent elected candidates are as follows:

Election update (Jan 2021)
Greater Manchester Local Pharmaceutical Committee (GMLPC) have received several queries relating to the forthcoming GMLPC election and the governance and assurance process regarding the commissioning of Community Pharmacy COVID-19 designated vaccination sites.
GMLPC have provided a response to both these queries in a letter to contractors.

Election deferral voting update 25/06/2020
GMLPC sent out voting forms in relation to deferring the election for a period of 6 months. 99% of contractors voted in favour of this proposal.
GMLPC elections therefore took place early 2021 with the new committee in post by the 1st April 2021.
