Bury Updates

Dangers of Nitrous Oxide

Bury Council have developed a range of comms and social media assets to help raise awareness of the potential harm of Nitrous Oxide, targeted primarily at young people. Pharmacy teams are encourage to download the resources and signpost them within their pharmacy or across social media channels.

Nutrition and hydration pilot

Pharmacy teams can get resources to help improve nutrition and hydration in older and vulnerable people in Bury, as part of a new pilot in some areas of Greater Manchester. The resources available include staff training/education, information booklets for patients/customers, and paper armbands that help identify people who may be at risk due to low BMI. Pharmacies may also find this visual checklist helpful. For more information, contact your local project lead: Carmel Berke, 07846 880694, cberke@ageuksalford.org.uk.
